Biography of Ghazni University Chancellor
Chancellor of Ghazni University
Associate professor Dr. Mohammad Bayer Darmel was appointed as the Chancellor of Ghazni University with accordance to the Presidential Decree # 1155 in 2016.
Before this position, Chancellor Darmel has had many other academic and administrative positions at Nangarhar University. For example, he remained as registrar for both academic council and academic & students affairs. He was also the Director of Academic Research. Above all, he was also appointed as the head organizer for Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Nangarhar University.
Beside the administrative works, Chancellor Darmel has also worked as a consultant and adviser for Relief International and IDIA NEW (a USAID founded project). In addition, he worked as a researcher for ‘Cascade’ – a European Union project.
In terms of education, Chancellor Darmel was majored in the discipline of Veterinary Science Faculty, Nangarhar university in 1994 and graduated in the year 2000 as a DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine). In the same year, he was appointed as a lecturer in the same faculty. However, in 2007, he got a graduate scholarship, funded by USDA. He completed his Masters in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology from Veterinary College, University of KVAFSU, Bangalore, India.
Chancellor of Ghazni University Associate Professor Dr. Mohammad Bayer Darmel was born in the knowledgeable and religious family of Mr. Mansoor Darmel in 1973 at Qarabagh District, Ghazni Province. He graduated from Sultan Mahmood High School in 1992.
Chancellor Darmel has also been a great presenter. He had recorded about 200 radio programs and participated in 10 television programs. He also had many academic and study travels to USA, Japan, India, Sri-Lanka, UAE and china. Furthermore, Chancellor Darmel was a prolific writer. He has published more than 20 articles in national and international Journals besides being a co-author of many books.
