Biography of Senior lecturer a(Pohanmal) Muhammad Omer “Darwish”, Dean of Agriculture Faculty of Ghazni University.

Senior lecturer, Muhammad Omer Darwish born in 1980, in “Arbab” village, Qarabagh district of Ghazni province in a pious and enlightened family.  In 1995, he completed his primary and secondary education in Sultan Mahmood High School at Qarabagh district.

Due to family problems and lack of access to get higher education, he has traveled abroad to Pakistan, Iran, and United Arabia in order to seek lawful (Halal) provision. As soon as the new system was established in country, he returned to his homeland. The unquenchable love that he had with education and desires to serve the country, he began teaching at Sultan Mahmoud High School and continued his holy job from 2002 up to 2004.

After that, due to his natural interest and in coordination with time, he participated in Kankor examination in 2004 and hopefully passed to Nangarhar University, Faculty of Agriculture. He got his bachelor degree in 2008. Based on his efforts, knowledge and the tendency that he had to serve the county by his own profession, he was appointed as a lecturer at Ghazi University, faculty of agriculture through a free competition in 2009.

After six years of his service, he has succeeded in Master’s program of Kazakhstan country through a competitive process. He received his one year diploma of Russian Language from Al-farabi International University, faculty of Languages and literature. After that he completed his mastery at Kazakhstan Agrarian National University (KazHAY) city of Almaty, in plant-biotechnology department.

As soon as he arrived to his county, again he continued teaching. After one year teaching, he was appointed as acting Dean of the faculty of Agriculture, and then on the suggestion of the Ghazni University, and by the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education, he was officially appointed as the Dean of Agriculture faculty at Ghazni University in 2020.

  • A Text Book of Vegetable, Translated from English language to Pashto Language.
  • Three Academic Research Articles about Micro-Propagation Grapes have been broadcasted in International Journals.
  • A Text Book  on Pomology –IV Devoted To Temporate  Fruits Translated From English To Pashto.
  • Dozens of Academic and Research Articles have been broadcasted in National Publication.

 

  • University’s Activities:
  • Supervise all Academic and Administrative affairs of the faculty.
  • Having the membership of academic council of Ghazni University, Academic council of the faculty, the committee of strategic planning as well as the he is the member and active participant of the Quality Assurance and Credibility committee.

 

  • Language Skill:
  • In additional to National Languages (Pashto & Dari), he knows Russian, Urdu and English very well.
